The website is designed, developed, supported and managed on an all volunteer basis, generates no revenue and receives no founding. It's supporters strive to offer a community forum for the neighbor to neighbors exchange and sharing of local news, information and ideas with the goal of maximizing community evolvement and the Eagles Nest experience.

Community Forum, News And Information Sharing Bulletin Boards:
Until recently the site included community networking bulletin boards provided to allow news, observations, information, opinions and ideas of one neighbor to be readily shared and quickly disseminated throughout the rest of the community.

After over two years of a high volumn of viewing traffic but little or no participatory or contributory interest on the part of the community, the bulletin boards were shut down on November 11, 2008.

Eagles Nest Township is centrally located within minutes of Ely, Tower, Winton, Soudan, Morse, Breitung, Fall Lake and Kugler Townships. Eagles Nest Township shares common interests, concerns, problems and challenges with all so, this site contains news, information and discussion forums useful to all.

Ely may lay claim to be the gateway to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness but most folks pass through Eagles Nest Township to get there. It's for sure that Eagles Nest is the gateway to scenic Bear Head Lake State Park.
